Advice email - £75

This is the digital equivalent of a first meeting with an invention adviser, when what you mainly want is a quick professional opinion and a few useful pointers. The advantage over a face-to-face meeting is that we have the time to give you a more considered response.

An advice email may be sufficient for:

An idea still at ‘back of an envelope’ stage.
An invention you don’t want to disclose in more than very general terms.
An idea for which you don’t feel you need a detailed prior art search.
A non-technology idea (for example, a marketing concept).

Our Advice Email service is simple to use, you don’t have to wait long for a response, and the cost is rock bottom for a professional service.

All you do is email us whatever you want to tell us about your invention or idea, no matter how sketchy it might be. You can attach images or other information if that helps explain your idea.

We’ll email back - normally within 10 working days - with a brief opinion of your prospects and brief advice on what to do next. You won’t get as extensive a patent and product search as you would from a Standard Assessment, but in many cases we’ll already know your area of invention in some detail from researching thousands of ideas over many years.

Small print

We can only offer the Advice Email (AE) service as a single exchange of emails. We won’t normally accept follow-on enquiries (any exceptions will be at our discretion) unless paid for as new AE submissions.
We can only accept online payment for the AE service.
Our Terms & Conditions apply. You’ll be asked to accept them before sending your email. (Our T&C include our promise of Confidentiality.)
We’ll normally send your advice email within 10 working days of notification of payment. We can’t however guarantee this, so if we know that your AE will take significantly longer, we’ll inform you as soon as possible.
